A first-class course
The course is set in the heart of the East Valley and its layout is considered to be one of the most challenging ones in the whole of Arizona.
It is a first-class field measuring over 7,000 yards from the back tee. It has a 130-slope rating and, it is a PGA Tour qualifying site with the finest golf experience you will get in the Southwest.
The design was commissioned by course architect Greg H. Nash, who found the inspiration in the natural setting that existed previously. Nash shaped the existing land to create extensive and outstanding natural elevations, expansive bunkers and many water hazards which were placed strategically to make the 18-hole journey more difficult.
The result was a beautiful course and at the same time challenging, which blended with the natural surroundings of Mesa.
Golf week recognized the course in 1992,1993,1994 as one of America's Best Golf Courses.
The quality of the field and the great service make it the perfect place to enjoy a nice golfing day or a golf tournament.
The golf course offers the best daily fee to enjoy solo or with friends. If you feel like practicing before hitting the course, drop by the driving range or improve your short game at the large putting green or one of the two areas with bunkers and contoured grass.
At the club, you can also enjoy a typical American lunch, drink a coffee or host a meeting. The Grill & Bar is open to anyone, featuring an indoor setting and a spacious outdoor seating section – ideal for summer days, which overlooks the 9th green.
They serve breakfast, lunch, appetizers, and cocktails. Try their delicious burgers, sandwiches, salads or some of the regional specialties. They also sell beverages, snacks, and fruit to take with you to the course, in case you get hungry during the 18th-hole journey.
Good to know
There are several water hazards so make sure you bring extra balls. Hole number 7 is one of the challenging ones. It goes up-hill, so be prepared for the steep walk.
Although the course is said to be quite challenging, five sets of tees on each hole will enable golfers of any ages and levels to enjoy the course.
Make sure to book a tee time in their website before you go.
