Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Enjoy your stay in Cedar Rapids

Cedar Rapids lies on both banks of the Cedar River in east central Iowa. In a state known for its farming and bucolic landscape, it's no wonder the little town of Cedar Rapids has thrived and grown into the second-largest city in the state. Strolling the streets of downtown Cedar Rapids feels a bit like stepping into a Norman Rockwell painting, but he isn't the artist who put this city on the map. In 1930, resident Grant Wood painted American Gothic, an image stamped onto the American consciousness. While Cedar Rapids shines with small-town panache, it's also a great spot for outdoorsy sorts with its more than 65,000 public trees throughout parks, golf courses, and nature reserves.
