Nice? Definitely. But downtown Minneapolis also brings art, music, and more to the table
Radisson RED Minneapolis Downtown is in the heart of a city that’s been setting the cultural pace in the Midwest for decades. Think pedestrian-friendly Skyway system—our hotel has its own connection—Art Deco and Deconstructivist architecture, world-famous museums, and historic music attractions. Minneapolis has a lot more to offer than friendly faces. But don’t worry—you’ll see plenty of those too.
Minneapolis museums are anything but stuffy. If you’re into modern design, check out the striking steel angles of Weisman Art Museum and the iconic Sculpture Garden at the Walker Art Center. Save time for the smaller galleries across the river too.
When it’s warm, join the locals and rent a bike through the Nice Ride bike-share program. There’s a station just a block from RED. Pedal west to picturesque Loring Park and explore the surrounding neighborhood, rich with galleries, fashion-forward shops, and eateries. Or head north toward the Mississippi River to enjoy the Stone Arch Bridge, outdoor patios, and the Mill City Museum and park.
We’re also in the middle of the city’s vibrant theater and music scene. Catch a show at The Armory, the Guthrie Theater, the Brave New Workshop comedy theater, First Avenue, or 331 Club. Our studios have blackout shades in case you need to sleep in a bit the next day.
