To help provide children around the world with access to safe drinking water, we’ve partnered with Just a Drop, a global organization focused on water stewardship. To conserve water use at participating hotels, we’ve implemented a towel reuse program to encourage guests to reuse their towels and forego housekeeping. Each time a towel is reused, we make a donation to Just a Drop. Through these donations, we’ve helped get safe drinking water to over 25,000 people across Kenya, Nicaragua, Peru, and India.
For many communities around the world, soap is inaccessible. The result? Seven million children die each year from diseases that are preventable with basic handwashing. To help remedy this problem, Soap for Hope takes unfinished soap bars and creates new bars using an innovative cold-press method. Since this process requires no electricity or running water, it can be used in the at-risk communities where soap is otherwise unavailable. Radisson Hotel Group Americas partners with Soap for Hope by donating its solid soap waste to the cause.
