Responsible Business - Chef

Youth unemployment is a real issue in many countries around the world, which is why Radisson Hotel Group Americas is committed to discovering and developing young talent. We look to the community to find and generate interest from young people to join this exciting global industry. We work with schools and non-profit organizations to offer trainee positions and work experience opportunities for young people, including at-risk youth and other vulnerable members of society.

At Radisson Hotel Group Americas, we believe creating a great guest experience means doing the right thing in every aspect of our business. We place great value on the spectrum of skills, experiences, and perspectives that characterize our team members, suppliers, and guests. Increasing diversity among suppliers is equally important. A diverse supplier base fosters increased competition and innovation while promoting the outstanding contributions these businesses make to the economic health and diversity of communities throughout the world. Partner focus: YCI

Youth Career Initiative is an employability program that partners with local hotels to give disadvantaged young people (aged 17–24) the chance to learn a range of skills across a variety of departments. Since the launch of our partnership, we have trained more than 200 students and more than 85% of them either get a job or continue their education, proving the incredible success of this program. By giving career opportunities to vulnerable young people, the company gains new, youthful, and dynamic colleagues.
